he CoffeeHub Nursery Support Facility of Cagayan State University Lal-lo Campus is set to undergo major refurbishment through a cash grant of Php100, 000 from the Association of International Dynamic Educators, Inc. (AIDE) led by its President, Dr. Lynne Ciocon.
The funding, coursed through AIDE's Executive Vice President, and former CSU President, Dr. Urdujah G. Alvarado, was formally handed over to CSU Lallo officias on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at the newly opened CoffeeHub Café.
The grant aims to enhance the nursery’s operations and strengthen the campus’s role in coffee propagation and production.
Led by Ms. Roje Marie C. Rosqueta, campus expert on quality coffee seedling production, the refurbishment will upgrade infrastructure, improve water and storage systems and enhance seedling handling processes, improving the facility’s efficiency and capacity to meet growing demands.
This development is expected to open new research opportunities, raise IGP revenues, expand land use for coffee propagation and production and strengthen CSU’s resource mobilization potential.
Currently, the CoffeeHub Nursery has made notable strides in propagation efforts, with:
• 5,452 seedlings propagated
• 1,427 coffee seedlings currently growing across approximately one hectare of land
• clonal nursery and 23 accredited Robusta Coffee scion.
