LAL-LO, Cagayan—Cagayan State University (CSU) at Lal-lo continues to solidify its reputation as a producer of professional teachers, with 72 graduates earning their licenses in the September 2024 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers.
Data from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released on December 13 showed that 56 Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) graduates and 16 Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) graduates passed the examination.
The result shows that the BSED program’s first-time takers from the Class of 2024 achieved a 92.86 percent passing rate, with 52 out of 56 graduates making the cut.
Recording an equally remarkable performance, the BEED program’s first-time takers notched a 93.33 percent passing rate, with 14 out of 15 graduates hurdling the examination. Four other passers were BEED and BSED alumni who retook the examination.
Data from the Office of the Dean of the College of Teacher Education highlights that recent batch of graduates from the BSED Mathematics (2/2), Science (8/8), Filipino (10/11) and Social Studies (15/15) programs registered perfect ratings while BSED English achieved a 91.67 performance with 11 out of 12 who passed the state examination.
Considering said performance, the BSED program registered a 75.68 percent passing rate, while BEED recorded 64 percent—both significantly higher than the national averages of 56.88 percent for Secondary Education and 45.51 percent for Elementary Education.
Nationwide, PRC announced that 20,025 out 44,002 examinees passed the elementary level while 48,875 out of 85,926 examinees passed the secondary level this November 2024 board examination.
